On Friday, Nov. 20, hundreds of the latest and greatest vehicles will take over the Tampa Convention Center for the 2016-Model Tampa Auto Show. The show will run through Sunday, Nov. 22. Hours are noon to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Attendees over the age of 18 with a valid driver license will get the chance to test drive the newest vehicles showcasing some of the most cutting-edge technology and features, including new and updated models from Ford, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, FIAT, Cadillac, Hyundai, Kia and Mazda.
Regular admission is $12 for adults (13 and over); $5 for seniors (62 and older with ID), military (w/any DOD ID) and children 7-12. Children 6 and under are admitted free. Advance sale E-tickets can be purchased at http://www.AutoShowTampa.com Attendees can purchase online now to save $1 on adult tickets. All attendees can also register to receive a free one-year subscription to Motor Trend magazine. Subway patrons can get a $3 off discount coupon from participating Tampa metro-area Subway restaurants — just look for the Auto Show poster in the window or counter card display.

The Fall Florida AutoFest will be held Nov. 12-15 at Sun ‘n Fun complex in Lakeland. Apart from the usual swap meet, car corral and collector vehicle auction (starting at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 13-14 and expanded to 400 vehicles because of the huge Lakeland location), there are numerous new additions this year, including:
• Daily vintage aircraft flyover along with a skydiver;
• Vietnam-era UH-1H Bell Helicopter Huey, Bell Cobra attack copter and a World War II-era Stearman Biplane rides;
• High-end air/motor concours, which provides VIP access to the facility;
• Car shows for all makes, models and eras on Nov. 13-14. Registration is $35 and includes admission for two. The first 500 receive a collectible dash plaque and goody bags;
• Race car display (car used in the ESPN original film “3, The Story of Dale Earnhardt”;
• Custom motorcycle and boat display.
Special guests include devil-may-care Bo “Bandit” Darville Burt Reynolds in the Cessna Building to meet fans and sign autographs on Nov. 13, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. As a tribute to Reynolds and “Smokey and the Bandit,” there will be a “Bandit Bash.” Also racing legend Milo Coleman will make an appearance along with a replica of his AA/F Falcon. And motorcycle lovers will get to see freestyle and stunt rider Josh Borne in action at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. Nov. 12-14.
At 4175 Medulla Road in Lakeland, the Sun n Fun complex is easy to access from I-4, I-75, I-275, the Polk Parkway and U.S. 301.
