Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival & Auction Oct. 14-16

The 12th annual Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival & Auction will be Friday, OCT. 14, to Sunday, Oct. 16, in downtown Lakeland. More than 600 show vehicles on and surrounding the restored 1920s art deco-inspired Lake Mirror promenade will be on display for over 35,000 spectators in attendance. Also, for the first time, a special car collector auction will be held. Higgenbotham Auctioneers International will conduct the auction. Vehicles will be display for public preview on Friday evening at the Magnolia Building and Saturday morning on Main Street. Northpointe Village Classic Car Show Oct. 8 a fundraiser for Boy Scouts

Calling all Fords, Chevys and Jeeps. The Saturday, Oct. 8 Northpointe Village Classic Car Show will be a Boy Scouts Fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. at 16506 Pointe Village Drive in Lutz (southeast corner of State Road 54 and the Suncoast Parkway, exit 19, right next to Carrabba’s Italian grill). All cruisers are welcome, according to show organizer Paul Figoni of Let’s Roll Promotions. There is a $10 registration, which includes a free slice of pizza and soft drink, courtesy of Marco’s Pizza. Top Ford trophy has been sponsored by Heritage Ford and Top Chevy trophy by Marco’s Pizza. “Scouts will give a Scouts Pick award for the Top Jeep,” said Figoni.
