November edition debuts

Our November issue (2nd issue) of Motoring Tampa Bay has debuted. We distributed hundreds of copies of the paper at the Tampa International Auto Show at the Tampa Convention Center, thanks to Ronnie Setser. We also gave away 200 copies of the paper at the MOSI Mustang event today. Several thousand copies of the paper will be distributed this coming week at selected auto stores in Tampa Bay, as well as car shows and cruise-ins.
If you would like a copy, annual subscription is only $12. The check can be mailed to MOTORING TAMPA BAY, 18313 CYPRESS STAND CIRCLE, TAMPA, FL 33647.

Oct. 24 Mustang, Shelby and Ford roundup at MOSI

Just a reminder about the 28th annual Mustang, Shelby and Ford Roundup at Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) on Saturday, Oct. 24, in Tampa. It is hosted by Mustang Club of Tampa, Bill Currie Ford and MOSI, 4801 E. Fowler Ave.. Portion of the proceeds of the show will be donated to MOSI’s Kids In Charge program.
The roundup will be from 8 a.m. to 4: p.m. with check-in running 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Everyone interested in Ford vehicles is invited to attend and there is no charge to simply view the cars. The show includes classes for all years of Mustangs, Shelbys and Ford-powered cars and trucks. Two free tickets to MOSI are provided to each vehicle and vendor participating in the show. Additional tickets to MOSI are available for $5 each to show registrants. Day of show registration is $25 per vehicle.

Chimera Customs’ 1969 Camaro fetches $245,000 at auction

Our hats off to Chimera Customs in Palm Harbor and St. Petersburg-based duPont Registry for taking a Pro-Touring 1969 Camaro to the Oct. 7-10 Barrett Jackson Auction in Las Vegas. The auctioned-off car fetched $245,000. The entire proceeds will benefit the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of the Suzan G Komen for the Cure.
